Mnemosyne: Musa del non detto warburghiano
Abstract
Questo saggio intende fornire una lettura di alcuni aspetti degli studi di Aby Warburg. La produzione scientifica riguardo allo studioso tedesco è cospicua. Cercheremo di inquadrare il pensiero warburghiano attraverso la lente del mito. Focalizzeremo la nostra ricerca sulla madre delle Muse, celebrata da Warburg nei suoi lasciti intellettuali più importanti: la sua biblioteca Mnemosyne e l’Atlas Mnemosyne.
This essay aims to provide a reading of certain aspects of Aby Warburg’s studies. The scientific production regarding the German scholar is substantial. We will attempt to frame Warburg’s thought through the lens of myth. Our research will focus on the mother of the Muses, celebrated by Warburg in his most important intellectual legacies: his library Mnemosyne and the Atlas Mnemosyne.
