Scrivere il caos. Forma e genesi del pensiero nei manoscritti di Dostoevskij
Abstract
Il presente contributo indaga il rapporto tra scrittura, forma e genesi del pensiero a partire dall’analisi dei manoscritti di Fëdor Dostoevskij, con particolare attenzione alla loro dimensione grafica e calligrafica. Muovendo dalla concezione della scrittura come mediazione si cerca di mostrare come il manoscritto costituisca un luogo in cui il pensiero prende forma attraverso operazioni materiali di selezione e riformulazione. L’analisi si concentra soprattutto su L’Idiota, dove la scrittura viene tematizzata sia nei materiali preparatori sia nella costruzione narrativa. L’articolo sostiene che nell’opera dostoevskiana il soggetto non precede la propria espressione, ma si costituisce nel gesto stesso della scrittura. Ne emerge una concezione della forma come dispositivo che non elimina il caos, ma lo trattiene rendendolo leggibile, mostrando come il senso si produca precisamente nello scarto tra intenzione, segno e interpretazione.
This paper investigates the relationship between writing, form, and the genesis of thought through an analysis of the manuscripts of Fyodor Dostoevsky, with particular attention to their graphic and calligraphic dimension. Starting from the conception of writing as mediation, it seeks to show how the manuscript constitutes the site in which thought takes shape through material operations of selection and reformulation. The analysis focuses primarily on The Idiot, where writing is thematized both in the preparatory materials and in the narrative structure. The article argues that in Dostoevsky’s work the subject does not precede its expression but is constituted in the very act of writing. What emerges is a conception of form as a device that does not eliminate chaos, but rather retains it, making it readable and showing how meaning is produced precisely in the gap between intention, sign, and interpretation.
