Nietzsche e il classico
Abstract
L’interesse per il classico emerge frequentemente nell’opera di Friedrich Nietzsche. Ad esso si è soliti associare gli studi giovanili sul mondo antico, in particolare La nascita della tragedia, e le relative riflessioni sulla grecità. Accanto a ciò, si ha tuttavia, specialmente nelle opere della maturità, la ricerca di un concetto di classico “sovrastorico”, non limitato all’ambito dell’arte e dello spirito.
Interest in the classical world frequently emerges in Friedrich Nietzsche’s work. It is usually associated with his early studies on the ancient world, in particular The Birth of Tragedy, and his reflections on Greek culture. Alongside this, however, especially in his later works, there is a search for a concept of the classical that is “above history”, not limited to the sphere of ancient art and spirit. In this text, an attempt has been made to outline the archetypal characteristics that, according to Nietzsche, identify a classical style in every era, differentiating it from antithetical models and modern misunderstandings.
